Live to Love and Love to Live

'twas 9:15 in the evening of August 30 when marivic, "bikang", as I fondly call her gave me a call asking me to go to Theresa's mansion for a reunion with some of our classmates because Analyn just arrived from US. I was at my aunt's house that very moment when she insisted to make myself available until dawn because Analyn might be going back immediately to her family in the US. I refused at first because Faith was with me already complaining because 'twas already late in the evening. Vic-vic gave another call with analyn next in line... immediately, I gave Papa a call and informed him about the invitation... my request was granted. Of course, with papa's approval, I assured them of my presence but then I said I told them ahead of time that can't stay long because my tired and sleepy daughter looked so pitiful already. She wants a bed that moment but then I also feel guilty not meeting these guys because they were once a part of my life sooooo I embraced Faith with a kiss and asked permission to let me in just a very short while because papa has allowed me already anyway to be there. She has granted my request so we went there...while still parking the car, Faith heared the laughter of those girls whom I'll be meeting and she felt irritated (faith is a conservative girl) and told me that she will just be staying inside the car. She doesn't like the noise inside (so frank)... I didn't insist anywayzzz

I left her inside the car... sleeping... and while entering in the gate of thesa's mansion they loudly welcome me...laughters again exploded like a bomb and whaaaaaa they felt sad when i declared just a ten minute stay because my daughter was already sleeping outside hahaahahaha! after 5 mins i went back to the car and peep Faith again... that moment she was snoring already. So i went back to the venue and continued chatting with my classmates with permission that I can't stay long because Faith was snoring already inside the car...Minda told me to better go because she pitied my daughter so much and others as well told me the same but there was a task yet to be done as agreed by everybody that each one will talk about their lives, families and all... it wasn't my turn yet when finally i went back to the car to check my daughter who's already awake but crying so I rush to the group and asked their permission to just let me go because I can't sacrifice my daughter.

Theresa and Tes "utol" followed me and asked me to wait for a while because they want me to bring home a bundle of food... so then i waited and while waiting inside the car i talked to Faith and asked for an apology...she just cried... as i bade goodbye to Theresa and Utol after handling me those food. So I brought back my attention to Faith... Again asked for an apology and hug her but to my dismay she nodded her head and pointed the front mirror of the car already broken not into pieces anyway (just look at the picture on top) !!! It struck my attention and tried to control my temper talking to her as if I didn't know anymore what questions should I ask her when she herself didn't know why she broke the glass... thus, I remained silent... until we arrived home at about 11 pm with hypertension truly disturbing me. I almost can't hold myself but with deep prayers and total control over my total being I was able to cool myself down. I felt my head was big enough to carry... eyes bulging...face like being squeezed... aaaahhhh I can't explain anymore with Faith beside me asking me to spank her. She didn't know actually how she broke the front mirror of the car because she slept as if she was on the her bedroom... she might have kicked the glass...

She wants me to express myself by hitting her physically but I won't because I love her more than anything else' in this world. I whispered to myself "If I continue working hard, I can buy a lot of car glasses, I cud have it repaired anytime I wished... but, I only have one Faith to love and protect!" my love for my kids is over and beyond the weight of love they thought I am offering them ...

Everything went on smoothly until such time I told her to just leave me in my room until almost two A.M... an hour after, i opened the door to refresh myself in the bathroom but I found Faith just standing in front of the door sobbing . . . waiting for me to go out and say something perhaps about what happened. I just told her to go to bed and take a rest because I was already ok . . . she gave me a glass of water and tried to comfort me but instead I gave her an assurance that everything was fine and she was more favored more than anything else'.

She managed going to bed alone and after a while I felt also the need to go to bed for a more relaxing body stretch with Faith pressing my muscles... tenderly she did the pressing of my muscles and asked me to sleep ahead after drinking a cup of water...

I was just so thankful to God for He has controlled the situation or else leving it alone with my capacity patch up the issue I might as well has broken things into pieces... Glory to God.

After few days I informed Papa about what happened and to my great surprise he was just so cool listening to my narration and ended with a short story about a father whose child damaged his car. after finding out that his car got a lot of scratches he trembly got wild crashing the hands of his son like a rotten eggplant. Realizing that his son was hurt physically, he rushed him into the hospital while thinking of the damage caused by his son to his ever loved car... unfortunately after the first treatment, the doctor said that his son will be confined for more days ...his son's hand demanded for more days to get cured until such time his son got bored waiting when he could possibly go out and play... he asked his dad when he could possibly be allowed to go out. So, his father asked the doctor... little more days, the doctor said, so the boy smiled and unselfishly asked "sorry" to his father for what he has done... another day has gone and the boy can't wait any longer. He wants to be discharge but then his doctor refused. Getting tired of asking when he can possibly be discharged the boy asked his father "Dad, how's your car?" his father replied with a smile, "it's ok now son, Iwas able to asked the painter to bring it back to its natural color and design" dad, the boy whispered... when could I possibly make my hand grow? the doctor has cut it because it seems rottened... his father did not give any answer... left the room... walked nowhere... and found at home dead. He committed suicide. He can't bring back the natural image of his son's hand. It was scrapped! no more chance to grow...

What a Dilema...!!!

03/25/08 will perhaps be my most unforgettable figures. On this day, my two kids will celebrate their Graduation Day. Too far from each other, almost 197 km. away. I never prayed of letting them march together but time has mandated the scenario which actually my daughter already imagined before.

When wawin confirmed the date i almost cried but i have to pay control to model to my kids that problems like this should be faced squarely. While driving my car with faith sitting at the back, i kept on asking her whether i can travel in the morning and immediately return to Gensan in the afternoon after kuya wawin's graduation ceremony...without hesitation she replied straight from her heart "I am giving way mama, she told me that she still has many graduation ceremonies to come...just stay with kuya and enjoy the day!" oh, she just didn't know how grateful I was of her that very moment not because of giving way for kuya but because of her attitude and virtue of humility. I can't imagine how she simply gave way just for kuya. I have seen how much she love kuya wawin to the extent of sacrificing one of the most important occasion in her life. Faith is such an ideal sister and daughter.

I have mixed emotions but Faith was there to comfort me.

Fishing is a PhP50 billion industry in the Philippines, contributing about 4% of the country's GNP. With an annual production volume of 2.4 million metric tons of fish, it directly provides livelihood and employment to over one million Filipinos. Tuna is among the 200 or so species of fish found in the country that have high commercial value. The Philippines ranks 7th among the top tuna producing countries in the world, both in terms of fresh/frozen tuna and canned tuna.

Despite this formidable ranking, the Philippines position in the international tuna industry leaves much room for improvement. The industry continues to be vulnerable to price fluctuations in the world market, stiff competition from existing and emerging tun producing country, trade discrimination in some importing countries, limited access to fishing grounds, increasing costs, and operational inefficiencies within the industry. Of late, however, these has been a genuine recognition among the tuna industry players and development partners of the need to urgently address the obstacles to industry's growth and the industry is now taking firm steps to do just that.

With the modest success of the 1st tuna Conference in General Santos City in September 1999 and a series of regional workshops and industry forums earlier this year, it has been confirmed that it is, indeed, possible to bring the multi sectoral stakeholder groups together and talk about their common concern-how to strengthen the Philippine tuna industry and become more globally competitive.

Politics in RMMC

Whew! Election is fast approaching. Asaran blues nanaman to...hey guys don't be scared ha coz it's normal for politicians to behave that way. Huwag lang maging pikon hehehehehehehehe actually in my department (LA) we have two line ups, pag-aralan nyong mabuti yong iboboto nyo ha baka kasi maniwala kayo sa kanilang mga salita wala naman pala sa gawa.

Kaya mga choks, frenz, and lovers (parang speech ni ...nino nga yon? hahaahahahaaha ) hayyyyyyy naku . . . don't just wait and see...you must place someone who deserves!

MABUHAY TAYONG LAHAT!

Mrs. Zaida Pada's Submission to Globalization

Using this classroom projector Mrs. Zaida Pada blows her power to make her classmates understand Experimental Research. She's that kind of student in the Graduate School who sacrifices much in preparing the materials to be used (even by her classmate's) for a classroom presentation. We didn't use the LCD projector because we are not in the Instructional Media Center (IMC) but they said, hopefully, one day they can make use of it aside from requiring them to prepare a power point presentation for the completion of one of their requirements just to be able to pass the subject. Complaints about the use of modern technology will always be there, especially because the majority of them are old enough (accdg to them) to be taught about how these stuffs are to be maniputed. But, I told them that we have to meet the demands of the time. The fact that we are teachers we should first know how to manipulate all these facilities/equipment because our students are waiting for us to update and upgrade them. "You can't give what you don't have" I always tell them that. We only have one dream, my dear teachers, "to produce professionals who can compete internationally". If it's not our goal, I guess it would be better for us to venture into another profession. . . whatever it may be, am telling you...your goal will still be for global competition.

Glass of Water and It's Wonder

Go to fullsize image from ate Beth's email...tnx! Go to fullsize image

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. We published below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water.

2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes.

3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.

4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours.

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure - 30 days

2. Gastric - 10 days

3. Diabetes - 30 days

4. Constipation - 10 days

5. Cancer - 180 days

6. TB - 90 days

7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards - daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.

Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense .... the Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks: Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive...

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this and sends to everyone they know, he can be sure that he has saved at least one life.

precious stones papa has given me ...

These are the most precious stones papa has given me ever! a lot of changes happened in my life...mostly on the positive side. I will never forget how much you valued these stones (as u told me) and so do I. I took the picture on my bed while I was having a tea break sometime last year, December, i guess! I have gold earrings, bracelets and necklaces but these stones papa has given me will forever be. . . incomparable! though, they may not be as expensive as the gold and silver I had in my jewelry box...papa thank you very much!

My 2008 Super Cute Calendar

Flip Flops from CHINA

Please tell me also why these pics are always deleted. Please just give me ur comment. It will highly be appreciated. Thank you very much.

" this pictures were copied and pasted from Ann's email" please don't be judgmental also guys...

"This is very true I heard it in news from one of our local radios here that our govt has to be extra careful on these cheap imports from china especially clothes because the Chinese are using some strong but cheap chemical in their manufactures. Cheap is in- expensive and at the same time fatal."
copied and pasted from the email of Ann Ocampo
-Canada FWD(sasmatics)

My POV (Point of View)
at least we are being alarmed... this usually happens to hyper allergenic people. Just be very careful with what you are buying because it's actually our choices that caused to hurt us sometimes! Also, a reminder to our producers, please produce goods that are not harmful, in case it is, it should be minimal and have it checked by the authorities to make sure it is safe to everyone's health. Thank you very much. Thank you also Ann my friend for the email...

Reyshel ...shining beneath her dreams

Reyshel Mae C. Ocho, a promising freshman, gave her best during her classroom presentation on Taxation. After two days, At last! she has completely accomplished her tasks. Her classmates cannot argue with her because she brought in the class two more reference books to back her up in defense to what her classmates would ask her. The classroom was so cold ...but none of them felt the atmosphere because each one of them is preparing a question to be asked to Reyshel after her presentation and at the same time they are also preparing for Reyshel's questions to be thrown to anybody else even without prior notice (What a stressor! hahahaahaha). . . !
yeahhhhhhhh! you really have to listen to Reyshel or else she will fail you! you see? Look at the picture... each one tries to capture every word that Reyshel is saying or else class performance will be affected. . . really the activity pressured them to think and react but the assurance behind this if done by heart is a "shining future". move on class ... conquer fear before it's too late! you are still in your First Year, well for others who are already in the higher years, you still have at least a little time to make some beneficial changes in your lives. Shape up your future the way it should be... undergo the process though, difficult and irksome, of making what YOU wanted to be in the future... I am just here beside you... Reyshel, keep shining...contaminate your ability and help other students realize how nice it is to conquer fear in the midst of tension and coldness of the classroom... great job shel! KEEP IT UP!

Comment of Ms. Richel Posadas one of our econ teachers (here) in RMMC before, now in Thai Reyshel???.... sounds like Richel...hehehe... just missing the days at RMMC and the Soc. Sci. 2 classes... How I wish I was there listening with you and witnessed how you're classmates got tongue tied when seeing your weapons (two reference books). Nice one girl. Keep up the good work!

Sawat-dee kha!

My Two Precious Jewels

How difficult it is to become a mother whose focus is to give her children a better tomorrow when available resources cannot sustain their needs. It so happened I am one of them. . . one of these mothers who can't almost sleep every night thinking how far her kids have gone academically and how slow we go with their papa with our "paningkamots". I know they can go farther the moment we further our struggles but hindrances like commitment to service, love of our place, and worries about the growth of our children bother me so much causing me to even feel in doubt to grab the chances of embracing the ultimate end which I admit will bring these kids into the pedestal one day.

Everytime I hear Wawin and Faith telling chikas about their dreams i almost reach heaven but realizing that this is what we only have... i almost fall down the ground. I have that fear inside of just letting them go working out for the attainment of their dreams because you see? our capacity is too small to combat their claims. But I never lost hope. I knew one day, the end will justify the means. . .

Gerwin, my eldest is a super loving son and kuya to her sister. Now on his 4th year in High School at Philippine Science High School, Mintal, Davao City. Director's Lister (DL-honor) since First Year but when he got measles last December, 2007 ohhhhhhhh my he was so disappointed but I thanked God coz he was able to overcome said disappointment. He felt that way maybe because of the goals he has set but was just destroyed by the measles followed by sored eyes! whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! He's a dreamer. I love listening to his stories because he always talk about life and his future with me, papa and Faith. He is a determined person, full of humility, very responsible, organized and a great planner. Faith naman is on her 6th level in the Elementary at Dadiangas West, now, 12 years old, 5 years younger kay kuya wawin. Has a sense of humor and really very fond of reading, writing and story telling. If we are together, I also act like a child coz everytime we laugh as if nobody's around watching us hahahahaha. Her words are sharp! she thinks deeply in a very practical way. She loves kuya very much because she always include kuya in her dreams.

Me and papa will never get tired of squeezing all possible resources to make their dreams a reality one day. For sure, God won't allow these two precious jewels to just wander around and be nowhere to find. They are the reason of my existence and their dreams and aspirations are the reasons of my survival. . .

Asherin... to pass MR is not impossible, she bets!

This smart lady, Ms. Asherin Villaflor, a Second Year Elementary Education Student, challenged me to reward her with a grade higher than what she received last Prelim. She made her presentation motivational to some extent. She was able to persuade her classmates to also make a class presentation that will convince others to believe (like what she did) that thesis writing really is easy especially if young bloods are the ones doing it...of course because you still have much energy to work out for it! (hey folks, don't get mad of me -this can't be true to hardworking oldies hehehehehe) Talking about Research Designs particularly Descriptive and Case Study would take an hour to finish it but she made it successfully in just 45 minutes. Congratulations Asher! Continue doing a classroom presentation...that will help you become an effective and efficient teacher someday...
